Who we are.
Cadence is known as the sassiest all-female a cappella group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was founded by a junior named Mellissa “Lisa” Offoha in 2003, and has since established its presence on UNC’s campus. The group unites diverse and passionate young women who aim to make a difference through their music. Currently, the group consists of 15 sassy ladies committed to producing a cappella that entertains, inspires and empowers.
In addition to the Fall and Spring Concert held at the end of each semester, Cadence performs at many on-campus and community events. The Campus Y, UNC’s oldest social justice organization, has sponsored Cadence and complements its commitment to philanthropy and community service. Upon request, Cadence also performs at private events and special occasions. Get in touch now!
